The 1974 Rickenbacker 4001

Todays job... CLEAN THAT RICKY..!

Well then... this took a damn sight longer than we first thought. Started cleaning this at 9.00am and finally finished about 4.00pm. The amount of dirt and grime on this thing was just unbelievable , but it was worth all the effort in the end. The 1974 Rickenbacker 4001 bass is looking good again. Even though it has a fair amount of dents, scrapes, scratches and chips on it , which all adds to its "road worn" character I must admit, its now looking clean and has a bit of its sparkle back.

The 1974 Ricky looking good again.
The paintwork has got it's shine back.

The chrome looks like a bit of  "bling" now...!

New drinking fountain for the crazy bengals.

It has been a pretty well documented fact that cats do prefer to drink running water in preferance to still water in a bowl.  So we thought it was time to try out one of those water fountains that we keep seeing advertised on pet sites etc. And also it might stop our two from crying at the bath or sink to let you know they want a drink.
We opted for a stainless steel model made by Pioneer. They also make fountains in plastic and ceramic so they cater for all budgets. After scouring the net for the best deal we went to http://www.rlpetproducts.co.uk/store/cats/brands/pioneerdrinkingfountains/ as these worked out the best price and delivery was free.
The product is of a good design and quality and the cats were straight into it as soon as it was assembled. Some cats might not be quite as eager as the bengals, as they just love water. But i'm sure that once your cat gets used to it they will love it. The company also make a larger fountain that is suitable for dogs.

Here's a video of our two inspecting the fountain the first time it was put down for them.
